As a telemarketeter, I work long hours in front of the computer with minimal physical activity. To de-stress, I decided to try out Anytime Fitness Fyshewick Spa located at 47 Newcastle St, Fyshwick ACT 2609, Australia. I was excited for my first spa experience but it turned out to be a big disappointment.
The location of the spa is not easily accessible by public transport which led to an adventurous journey. I missed the bus and had to walk in high heels, navigating through uneven paths and construction sites. Just imagine Miriam, a 5 feet tall woman, trying to balance on those heels while carrying her bag! It was like a scene from a comedy movie.
Once I reached the spa, the receptionist was not very friendly or helpful. She seemed uninterested in my queries about their services and only gave me a brief explanation of what they offered. The place looked outdated and not at all relaxing.
I opted for the full-body massage which was supposed to be my heavenly escape but turned out to be the opposite. The masseuse was not very skilled; she applied too much pressure which caused me pain in some areas. I couldn't help but think that this wasn't worth the money.
The spa facilities were basic and poorly maintained. The steam room had a musty smell, and the shower area lacked clean towels. Overall, my experience at Anytime Fitness Fyshewick Spa was disappointing, and I won't be returning anytime soon.
